Happy World Ocean Day; Oceans the ultimate source of all the precipitation around the globe and covers 70% of earth surface are now facing severe challenges ranging from depleted fishery zones, the deterioration of the marine environment, illegal fishing, dumping of wastes from cities etc.

People even living far from sea shores should know about its importance in existence of all living beings & how their activities can affect marine ecosystem..

Moon..

“The moon is at her full, and, riding high,
Floods the calm fields with light.
The airs that hover in the summer sky
Are all asleep to-night”..

True Democracy !!

At the 63rd indian independence day ,I try to find the reason:- Why india can't regain its earlier glory as the centre of world civilization while countries of new world using the same political system became global leaders?
We got independence from british raj 60+ year ago and after postindependence applied the same historically tested democratic system while many nations become free from colonization got developed while we still suffers from 19th cent. dilemmas of hunger, poverty etc. People often thinks politics is the reason behind these problems & we should try others system like communist/naxalist etc but its easy to curse someone for your problem.
Neither the politicians nor the democracy is the reason for these problems, may be true democracy lost somewhere b/w these long years.
And what democracy means? according to "Perciles" :-

"Our form of government does not enter into rivalry with the institutions of others. Our government does not copy our neighbors', but is an example to them. It is true that we are called a democracy, for the administration is in the hands of the many and not of the few. But while there exists equal justice to all and alike in their private disputes, the claim of excellence is also recognized; and when a citizen is in any way distinguished, he is preferred to the public service, not as a matter of privilege, but as the reward of merit. Neither is poverty an obstacle, but a man may benefit his country whatever the obscurity of his condition. There is no exclusiveness in our public life, and in our private business we are not suspicious of one another, nor angry with our neighbor if he does what he likes; we do not put on sour looks at him which, though harmless, are not pleasant. While we are thus unconstrained in our private business, a spirit of reverence pervades our public acts; we are prevented from doing wrong by respect for the authorities and for the laws, having a particular regard to those which are ordained for the protection of the injured as well as those unwritten laws which bring upon the transgressor of them the reprobation of the general sentiment.
By - Pericles (490-429 BCE), a popular Greek military and political leader .

Impression's ..........

Is 1st Impression is the last Impression !!
Once Anoop sir told that,"Don't judge people on their first impression "....
But aren't we humans rotten? None of us is perfect but all of us judge sometimes by nature. I try so hard not to do this, but I do it anyway more often than not, just as I know others do the same.

First impression's of uttrakhandi's people on my mind were :-
1) They were same as people from plane's.
2) They were afraid from many things.

Wid passing of my first uk trip my first judgement got wrong as dey helped us for finding transport & accomodation without tryin to loot us [:)],one cant distinguish uttrakhandi's people from himachali's .

But my second thought which i developed while reading Jimcorbett was somewhat right as i can't find a single vehicle running at night on uk roads...
